Silicon Solar Device Scientist/Engineer

Position description:

Integrated Photovoltaics, Inc. (www.integratedpv.com), a Silicon Valley solar startup, is looking for a PhD-level Device Scientist/Engineer with deep expertise in the area of design, fabrication, testing and modeling of high-efficiency silicon-based solar architectures. You will assume a key position in the R&D group and report to the company’s Senior Scientist.

Responsibilities:

·        Develop, design and fabricate, together with team members and external partners, silicon solar-cell architectures with very high efficiency.

·        Develop test plans and develop experiments to fully characterize device performance and limitations.

·        Direct work of members of the technical staff.

·        Use theoretical and computer modeling to understand and improve device performance.

·        Identify, study and summarize technical literature and recommend processes based on the lessons learned.
